Everyone spends a great deal of time trying to figure out who they are. We spend so much time and effort trying to decipher what our personal style is, how we want to look, who we want to be, what activities we want to participate in. Much of the deciding factor that goes into this is not what we think, it’s what we think others will think and how they will view us as a person.
A lot of times, we start to pair characteristics together. We think we can only be one type of person. We make a lot of false judgments based on our expectations of who we think someone is. For example, we associate certain behaviors with certain types of people when they have no correlation at all. We associate behaviors, clothing, friends, political views, religious beliefs, and music preferences with a certain type of person. However, no one really fits into one type of mold. I don’t even think I could begin to describe what my style is like because it’s such a mix of things that I like and it changes day to day. My music taste is the same way. You are you, you can have a million different qualities and still be you. There is no one else that has the same exact qualities as you, so instead of trying to figure out what type of person those qualities make you, you should use the qualities and talents that you were given to do good, because no one else has to offer what you have to offer.
( I have a thing for quotes…so here’s a good one.)
